About Me

My name is Linda Humble, and I come from the small town of Pickrell, Nebraska. Creativity runs in my family, with several artists and architects, including my father, serving as inspirations. From a young age, I enjoyed painting and drawing, as well as spending time outdoors in nature.

In high school, I wasn’t entirely sure what my passion was, as I didn’t take many art classes, aside from a pottery class that I absolutely loved! I then continued my education and soccer career at Beatrice Southeast Community College, exploring different interests. Once again, I took just one art class. Before I knew it, I had earned my Associate of Arts degree, yet I still wasn’t completely certain about my future path.

I then transferred to Dakota Wesleyan University to continue my soccer career and initially pursued a degree in Psychology. But I realized I wasn’t genuinely interested in the courses I was taking. Everything shifted when I found the Digital Media and Design major. I was instantly drawn to the courses and excited to dive deeper.

I’ve always been passionate about art and architecture, but with limited experience, I sometimes questioned my potential. Pursuing Digital Media and Design has introduced me to a new creative outlet, one that allows me to express my ideas freely, explore my imagination in a digital space, and grow more confident in my abilities.

At DWU, I majored in Digital Media and Design with a double emphasis in Graphic Design and UX/UI Design. My education provided hands-on experience, challenging me to build a strong portfolio.

I gained proficiency in Adobe software like InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Figma, developing skills in graphic, web, and print design. I also learned a bit of photography in one of my classes, which I’ve been able to explore more through my Tigers_Unleashed Instagram account for the women’s soccer team. Additionally, I’ve experimented with video editing using CapCut and Tik Tok to create engaging content for social media, further enhancing my skills in visual storytelling. I look forward to leveraging my skills and creativity to make a meaningful impact in the world of design and technology.
